League History

"It is time, once again, to compete for the Glazed Nut.. that's right, Internet Footbaw League!" - Scott Hanson, NFL Redzone Host

The Internet Footbaw League (IFL) was established in 2016, but the league has historical ties dating back to 2005. A group of high school and college friends started playing fantasy football together, using the Yahoo Fantasy platform. Over the years, managers have come and gone, but there are a handful of OGs that remain in the IFL today. In 2016, OG Hurricane Ditka was appointed as the Commissioner of the league known as "Deathtrain" and rebranded it as the Internet Footbaw League. The IFL has gradually made small changes over the years to mold it into what it is today. Trophies have been introduced, as well as league punishments, various types of wagering, unique draft order selection methods, a weekly newsletter known as "Glazed Nuts", and a website!  Below are the notable finishes of teams since 2005.

Note: "The Donut Hole" is the official title for the team in last place.
